QECP Collective Classic Summer Enduro 2014: Rider Info

Useful info:

Start of the race is from the race village NOT the top of the hill (This will be somewhere near the open area of the race village).

All the Stage start times are from the top of the hill. Please queue up in number order to help the start marshal out.

Wear your helmet at all times when on your bike, both on transitions and stages.

Practice is not compulsory but recommended to give you a look at stages

Practice options:

  • Race Blind, Not advised
  • Stages 1 & 4, 6.5 miles advised minimum
  • Stages 1 & 2 & 4, 8.5 miles
  • Stages 1 & 2 & 3 & 4, 10 miles advised

We will be taping the tracks on Saturday, if you see any taped areas before practice stars feel free to have a look but don’t ride them.  We do not want to be run over while marking out the course!

After the prize giving will have a number board raffle with some great prizes. Make sure your number board is collected at the end of the race.

Running order:

8:30 – Marshalls’ briefing

8:45 – Riders’ briefing

9:00 – Start of practice

11:45 – End of practice/start of race

16:15 – Results, Prize giving and Raffle

There will be a BBQ onsite providing food and drinks, as well as an ice cream vendor.  We expect the weather to be as good as last year so it is advised to bring plenty of water with you as there is no tap onsite.

Please take all you rubbish home with you, including energy gel wrappers etc…racing is no excuse for littering.

Parking is on a Fireroad there will be a marshal there helping you to park and race village is at the end of the parking.

IMPORTANT:

Please be considerate to other road users when entering and leaving the site.  Kiln Lane is a narrow lane, so please use passing places where possible.  When leaving the site you will be asked to wait for a few seconds by a race marshal this is to help ease the impact on local residents using the lane.
